DIED - In this village, on the 27th ult., Mrs. Jane Wood, daughter
of Mrs. Elizabeth Backenstose. Her death was occasioned by her clothes
catching fire, by which she was burnt in a shocking manner. She
lingered in misery several days after the accident. Let this, added to
a long list of similar calamities, operate as a salutary caution
against exposure to fire.
