James MacAdam, aged 80, of 303 East North street, died at Geneva
General Hospital last night after a short illness. He was a retired
blacksmith having worked at the Geneva Wagon Works until its closing.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and of the Rippey
Bible Class of this congregation. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.
James Brown and Mrs. Daniel Kane, both of Geneva, and Mrs. Howard
Burtless of Seneca Falls; two sons, James and Robert, both of
Rochester; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. Burial Glenwood Cemetery.

Phelps, May 20 - The death of Joseph MacAniff, Sr., a
well-known citizen of this community, occurred Sunday afternoon at his
home in West Main street after a brief illness due to advanced age. Mr.
MacAniff, who was nearly eighty-one years of age, was born in
Rosecommons, Ireland, on June 4th, 1837. He came to this country about
fifty-six years ago and had lived in the village of Phelps for the last
forty-six years. He is survived by seven daughters, Miss Mary MacAniff
of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Vincent Collins of Rochester, Mrs. A. J. Clark,
Mrs. Harry Vincent, Mrs. Peter Carr, Mrs. Thomas Kane and Miss Julia
MacAniff, all of Geneva; and three sons, Lieutenant John MacAniff of
the United States Signal Corps now stationed in the Isthmus of Panama,
Bernard MacAniff of Rochester and Joseph MacAniff of this village with
whom he lived. The funeral services will be held at ten o'clock
Wednesday morning at St. Francis Catholic church, the pastor, Rev. M.
T. Madden, officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis cemetery.

Thomas MacCormac, of Phelps, died Tuesday evening of pneumonia, aged about 78 years. A wife and several children survive him.
