Wedding Photo of George W. Young and Ethel Louise
Redington
From Geneva Daily Times 30 December 1908
Manchester, N. Y. -
The marriage is announced of George W.
Young and Miss Edith Reddington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Volney Reddington, all of Farmington, the event, a quiet affair, having
taken place at the Presbyterian parsonage in Victor on Thursday
evening, December 24th, Rev. Mr. Hill performed the ceremony. After a
short wedding tour, Mr. and Mrs. Young will reside in Farmington, where
they have a large circle of friends who extend congratulations.
Note from Theresa Ruffing:
The name of my great grandmother is wrong as it is
supposed to be Ethel, not Edith. Her last name is Redington, not
Reddington.
My grandfather George Henry Wagner Young was born George
Henry Wagner in Elmira NY. He was adopted by James A. Young and
his wife Lucina (McLouth) Young. He was raised on their farm
outside of Macedon. George and Ethel lived in Farmington for a
while and
George was the superintendent of Highways for quite a while in the city
of Farmington.
