PHELPS COMMUNITY HISTORICAL SOCIETY HOLDINGS

Located at 66 Main Street, Phelps, NY, the Howe House Museum is home to the Phelps Community Historical Society. Collections include more than 4000 items, mostly those that have a connection with Phelps and its history, such as being made here or belonging to a local family. In addition to business, farm and household items, there are over 100 scrapbooks containing births, marriages, deaths, of the people of Phelps, as well as happenings that occurred. The PCHS has the Phelps Cemetery Records of 26 cemeteries and 10 cemeteries near the Town of Phelps. Vital Records, newspapers and scrapbooks are also available for viewing on microfilm. Entrance to the museum is free. Donations are appreciated.
