HATCH, HALL, PRICE Scott Naylor Tue, Feb 3, 1998
Hello My name is Scott Naylor, and I am trying to find references to a Nathan HATCH that married into the family, (the daughter of William PRICE, Sarah) about 1810-1825. I have little to go on at this time, as family history on this side is sketchy. Her daughter Olivia PRICE, married Benjamin Homer HALL 09/21/1818. I have some of their correspondence of this time (earliest letter dated 1810. Also very hard to read, mind you) on of it she writes to her mother, Mrs. Nathan HATCH. This is the first mention I have of the name, and hope to find some clues. The family speaks quite a bit about Genesee. I hope there might be a couple of clues that might tie into whatever helpful info you might have. Thanks for whatever help you can offer. Scott Naylor naylors@stargate.ca

HICKOK, BRINK, BURNETT, CARLYLE James Leogue Tue Oct 28 1997
Working on my wife's HICKOK family. I have made a little headway. I did determine that a BURNETT connection appears to come from my wife's great grandfather. Just discovered that her grandmother (married to Wallace Carlyle HICKOK), Maude BRINK's father was Burnett J. BRINK (have you come across that one?). I also discovered that the HICKOK family lived in Penn Yan at one time where Myron HICKOK and his wife Martha CARLYLE had at least one child Laura HICKOK who was born April 22, 1868. In addition I have hear tell, in the family lore, that twins were in the family at that time and that Myron may have had a twin sister Myra. Also interested in Burnett BRINK or the BRINK family connected to the BURNETT family? Regards, Jim

HOPKINS, CARE/CASE, CLIFFORD Debra Eddy Mon Mar 241997
Who were the parents of Ira HOPKINS, born 1842, Ontario Co., NY? I cannot find him in the 1850 census of Ontario Co., NY. Ira Hopkins was born in Ontario County, New York, in either May of 1842 or 1845, according to conflicting census records and GAR Post Records. On 23 July 1867, Ira married Elizabeth Ann CLIFFORD in Woodland, Barry Co., MI. They had nine children, and lived in Barry Co., MI, , Isanti Co., MN, Kent & Osceola Co., MI. He removed from Watertown, Conneticut to Harpersfield, New York about 1786 and afterwards lived in Otsego County, New York at Chenago, NY in Luzem County PA, Ontario County NY and finally removed to Mayfield Ohio. KNIGHT, LEE, SUMMERS Gary Lee Phillips Mon Nov 11 1996
KNIGHT / LEE ; 1819: Seeking information about parents or siblings of Fanny KNIGHT (probably Frances) who was b. 15 Nov 1803 at Thetford, Orange Co., VT and d. 30 Sep 1873 at Franklin, Oakland Co., MI. She married in 1819 to Harvey LEE (b. 3 Oct 1798, Guilford, New Haven, CT; d. 8 Mar 1877 Franklin, Oakland Co., MI) and the marriage seems most likely to have taken place in Ontario County, NY, at or near West Bloomfield. Is it possible to find marriage records this early for western NY? (Harvey's parents, William LEE and Mary SUMMERS, and their children were known to be living in West Bloomfield, NY from at least 1804 to 1811 when their last 4 children were born, and Harvey and brothers Norman and Horatio arrived in Michigan in the 1827-29 time frame, so NY is the most likely place for the marriage.) Any help or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

LYNAH/LYNAUGH Kathy Monahan Thu, May 8, 1997
Searching for LYNAH/LYNAUGH. My mother's maiden name is LYNAH, also spelled LYNAUGH, even on some of her grandfather's records. I have recently been contacted by Brandon LYNAUGH, whose ancestors are buried in Victor. There is a high degree of probability that we are closely linked. Among the commonalities is the fact that his great grandfather and mine were both 6'5" which for two Irish boys with the same last name in upstate New York would be an amazing coincidence! On a more genealogical note, the naming patterns are almost identical, with John, Thomas and Paul showing up in close to the same order (John named 1st son John, next son Thomas; Thomas named 1st son Thomas John and second son John). Both had first daughters named Margaret.  Kathy Monahan
