In Hopewell, on Thursday last Mr. Alfred Harris, to Miss Electa Jane Childs, both of that town.

In Trinity Church, Centrefield, on the 11th inst. by Elder Birch. Mr. Geo. T. Willson of Warren Co., Pa., to Miss Elizabeth Muler, of Canandaigua.

In No. 9, on the evening of the 20th inst., by Elder Sanford, Mr. Gideon E. Ferre to Miss Emeline Stid, all of Canandaigua.

DIED - On Monday morning, at the residence of his brother-in-law, Col. William Blossom, in this village, Mr. Ebenezer Morse, aged 52, after years of indisposition often very severe and painful.

DIED - At Canandaigua on the 21st ult., Julia, youngest child of Luke and Catharine R. Lincoln, aged 19 months and 7 days.

In West Bloomfield, on the 4th inst., Mrs. Phebe Hall, widow of the late Gen. Amos Hall, aged 70 years.

DIED - In Canandaigua, on the 26th inst., of a lingering illness which he bore with true christian fortitude, Mr. Daniel Hotchkiss, aged 74 - formerly of this town, but recently of Michigan.

DIED - In this village, on the 25th inst., Asa Nowlen, son of Samuel and Ann S. Greenleaf, aged three months.

DIED - In Bristol, on the 24th July, after a short and painful illness, Adoniram J. Hicks, son of Lemuel Hicks, aged 17 years and ten months.

In this village on Monday, Miss Elizabeth Bradbury, in the 27th year of her age.

DIED - On the 1st instant, Caroline, daughter of Robert Higham, Esq., aged one year and 6 months.

On the 4th instant, William Kibbe, Esq., aged 74 years.

MARRIED - In South Bristol on the 16th ult., by the Rev. Mr. Smith, Mr. Colt and Miss Eliza Cushion.

DIED - In Bristol, on the 28th of August, Elnathan Gooding, Esq., in the 70th year of his age. Mr. Gooding was the first white man that wintered in the town of Bristol, fifty-two years ago.  His wife has been bereft of a kind and affectionate husband, his children of a tender and indulgent parent, and society of one of its most worthy and useful members.

In Hopewell on the 23d ult., Emily Augusta, daughter of Mr. John Brown, aged one year.

In Seneca, on the 10th inst., Miss Elizabeth Ann, daughter of the late Deacon Jno. Yeckley, formerly of Montgomery, Orange Co., aged 24.

In Geneva, June 25th, Charles S. S., son of J. W. and Elizabeth Ann Proctor, aged 2 years, 10 months and 25 days.

At his residence in Geneva on the 21st inst., Hon. Gideon Lee, formerly member of Congress, and Mayor of the city of New York.

On Wednesday morning, the 11th inst., Sophia, daughter of Thomas and Laura L. Neale, of this village, aged 20 months.



15 September 1841

DIED - At his residence in this village, on Sunday evening last, Dr. Richard Wells, in the 67th year of his age. Thus another of the early settlers of the west has passed from the busy scenes of earth. Dr. W. was skillful and successful in his profession, and as a citizen was beloved by all.  His death is much lamented.

In this town, on Monday the 9th inst., Francis Angeline, daughter of Chester Gooding, aged 4 years and 10 months.

DIED - In this town, Sept. 18th, Harvey S., son of Francis J. and Melissa M. Castle, aged 5 months.

DIED - In Naples, on the 17th inst., Albert Henry, son of Isaac and Margaret Legore, aged eight months and one day.

In Gorham, on the 17th of September, Richard Osborne, in 66th year of his age.  Mr. Osborne was among the first settlers of the town in which he lived.

MARRIED - In Gorham, on Thursday evening, the 30th September, by the Rev. Mr. Gillson, Mr. James Willson to Miss Sarah Wager, all of that town.

DIED - In this town on the 20th of August last, Daniel L. Castle, in the 69th year of his age. Mr. Castle was one of the early pioneers of Western New York. He resided in this town about 50 years.

In Bristol, October 7th, by the Rev. Wm. Quall, Mr. Orestus Case to Miss Lucretia Fisher, all of Bristol.

DIED - In this village, last evening, Freeman Atwater, in the 76th year of his age.  Thus is it our painful duty to record the death of another of the patriots of the Revolution.  Mr. Atwater was among the earliest of our village, and was greatly esteemed by all.

MARRIED - In this village, last evening, by the Rev. Mr. Thompson, My John Jay Ryerss of Geneseo, to Miss Caroline Hayward, of the former place.

DIED - Yesterday morning, Mr. William Antis, aged 66.  Mr. Antis was one of the early settlers in this town, having removed hither with his father near fifty years ago -- and has uniformly sustained the character of a good citizen -- a benevolent and an
honest man.

In Marietta, Ohio, on the 13th ult., Warren Anson, formerly of this place, of inflammation on the lungs, aged 43.

In the town of Seneca, Lenawee county, Mich., on the 26th ult., Henry Hayward, formerly of Farmington in this county, aged about 56.

DIED - At South Bristol, on the 9th inst., James Parmely, in the 85th year of his age.  Mr. P. was one of the earliest settlers of Bristol, and through a long life enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his acquaintances, as a good citizen, an upright man, and an exemplary christian.  He was a patriot and soldier of the Revolution, and in early life embarked with ardor in the cause of American Independence, the sixty-sixth anniversary of which he lived to behold.

In the town of Canandaigua, on the 10th inst., John Faurot, aged 80 years.  Mr. Faurot was a soldier of the Revolution.

In this village, on the 29th of November, Francis Hunloke, aged 4 years and 2 months; and on the 1st of December, Mary Lansing, aged 5 years and 5 months, children of Jacob L. Woodruff Esq.

DIED - In this village on the 14th ult., Mrs. Maranda Forbes, wife of Phineas Forbes, aged 31 years.  Also on the 18th of the same month, an infant daughter of Phineas Forbes, aged 7 days.



8 March 1843

DIED - In this village yesterday, William Turner, Jr., in the 25th year of his age.  Mr. Turner was, for a short time, one of the Publishers of this paper, and afterwards of the Wayne Sentinel.

In South Bristol on the 28th ult., Thankful G., wife of Col. James Parmely, and daughter of Warren Brown, Esq., aged 35 years.

DIED - In York, Livingston County, on Tuesday, the 9th inst., Edward Skelley, formerly of this village, in the 23d year of his age.

At Gault, Upper Canada, on Thursday, the 11th inst., Henry McCrum, formerly of this village.

In East Bloomfield, on Friday, May 12th, Gersham Salmon, aged 90 years.  He was a Revolutionary soldier and a uniform Democrat -- a supporter of all the Democratic Administrations from Jefferson to Van Buren.  Peace be to his ashes.

DIED - In East Bloomfield, on Saturday, the 13th inst., of pulmonary consumption, Miss Esther Maria Pierce, aged 15 years.

Also, on Wednesday, the 17th inst., of the same disease, Miss Lucy Bronson Pierce, aged 24 years.

In Cheshire, on Monday, May 15th, Franklin Benton, son of Gideon E. Ferry, aged 1 year, 1 month and 3 days.

DIED - In this town, on Monday the 5th inst., after a long and painful illness which he bore with great patience and christian resignation, John DeBow, formerly of the town of Cranberry, State of New Jersey, aged 83.  He was a Revolutionary soldier, and was at the battle of Monmouth.,

DIED - In this village, quite suddenly, on Sunday last, Miss Hannah A. Brace, in the 20th year of her age.

In this town, on the 18th inst., Mrs. Catharine Murray, formerly of Wigtown, Wigtownshire, Scotland, aged 84 years.

In this village on Saturday, the 22d instant, Mary Antis, daughter of William and Lucinda Reed, aged 11 months and 12 days.

In Richmond on the evening of the 28th of September ult., by the Rev. Wm. Queal, Mr. David A. Pierpont to Miss Elizabeth Philips, both of Richmond.

In this village Sept. 12th inst., by S. C. White Esq., Mr. James Jenkins of West Bloomfield to Miss Hannah McMannis of the same place.

DIED - In this village, on Wednesday the 27th, Esther Amelia, wife of Rodolphus Douglas, in the 47th year of her age.



11 October 1843

MARRIED - In Canadice, on the 5th inst., by the Rev. A. Acheson, Mr. John Read of Richmond, to Miss Charlotte Hoppough, of the former place.

On the 5th instant, and by the same, Mr. Wm. McLallen, of Townsendville, Seneca county, to Miss M. T. Briggs, recently of this village.

On the evening of the 9th instant, and by the same, Mr. Isaac L. Schreder to Miss Mahetable Eastman.

DIED - Suddenly, at Rushville, regretted by all who knew them, on the 29th ult., Ira Merrill, son of Mr. S. S. Merrill, in the 18th year of his age; and on the evening of the following day, Mercy Merrill, wife of the same individual, aged 38 years.  The remains of the mother and son were committed to the same grave, on the 2d Oct. inst., attended by a very numerous assemblage of friends.

In this village, on Sunday last, Charles Augustus, son of Mr. Charles A. Keeler, of this town, aged 16 months.



25 October 1843

MARRIED - On the evening of the 17th day of October, by S. C. White, Esq., Mr. Lewis Brando of Gorham, to Miss Sally Chapman of this place.

On the 19th day of Oct., inst., by S. C. White, Esq., Mr. Collins Wilder to Miss Adaline Fuller, both of Bristol.

DIED - On the twenty-fourth instant, at the residence of his son, Walter Hubbell, in this village, Abijah Hubbell, in the eighty-third year of his age.  He was born in Greenfield, Connecticut, but resided a large part of his life in Ballston, Saratoga county.  He faithfully served his country three years in the Revolutionary army, and the Captain of Salvation near fifty years in the Church militant.

In Manchester, on the 23d inst., by Peter Mitchell, Esq., John Alexander of Pennfield, Monroe Co., to Miss Rosetta Jane Harrington of the former place.

DIED - At Almond, Allegany county, on the 24th inst., the Rev. Reuben Parmele, aged 84 years, formerly of Victor, in this county.

On the 25th inst., at the residence of her sister in Hopewell, Mary J., daughter of E. K. Mattison, in the 26th year of her age.

DIED - In Hopewell, on the 7th inst., Wallace, son of Enos & Dimmis Childs, aged eight years and three months.

DIED - In this village on Thursday, the 16th inst., Jonathan Herrington, a devoted member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

In Manchester on the 17th inst., Addison N. Buck, aged 48 years.

DIED - At his residence in Hopewell, on Thursday last, Ephraim Watkins, Esq., of apoplexy, after a short illness of one day only, in the 56th year of his age.

DIED - In this town, on the 20th inst., Nancy M. Crittenden, consort of Oren E. Crittenden, in the 29th year of her age.

In this village, Sunday evening, Dec. 24th, Wm. J. Reeves, son of John & Adaline Reeves, aged 7 months and 11 days.
