Note 1:  Charles T. Alger and Z. Estella Alger are siblings; and children of Edward & Lucy Alger.  Our thanks to Ron Goodman for sharing this information.

Note 2.  Samuel and Orila Emmons are buried on the Emmons lot in addition to their son Seymour.  Seymour Emmons was the oldest of 8 children of my 3rd great-grandfather and grandmother, Samuel and Orila Emmons, who were married in Naples on 19 July 1830.  Samuel owned a very small parcel in the northwest corner of Naples Township which bordered on Springwater.  In fact he and his family are mentioned in a History of Springwater.  I  have a copy of Seymour Emmons' Civil War papers from the National Archives. As his grave marker indicates he served in Co. G of the 27th New York Volunteers.  He was born in 1831 and died 12 Dec 1885, aged 56 years.  Samuel was a laborer, and I have found that the family roots go back to an ancestor who spent a very frigid winter at Valley Forge.  For that reason alone they have a legacy worth remembering.  Many thanks to Dave Hall for sharing this information.
