From Naples Record 22 December 1915
Mrs.
Louisa Proper died at the home of her daughter at Bloomfield on
December 11th, 1915, at the age of 78 years. She was the daughter of
Eleazer and Catherine Aldridge, and was the last of a family of eight
children. She was born in Bristol, and had lived most of her life in
Ontario County. In 1863 she was married to Eli Proper, and, had she
lived until the 20th, she would have been married fifty-two years. She
is survived by her husband, two daughters, thirteen grandchildren and
four great grandchildren. She lived with Mrs. Martha McDowell, of Rochester, and Mrs. Mary Woodard of West Bloomfield, and
was
tenderly cared for by them. She was ill just one week, sleeping and
growing weaker gradually until the Blessed Father took her to a world
of peace and happiness. She was a devoted member of the M. E. church. Funeral
services were held from her home on December 18, conducted by Rev.
Heath, pastor of the M. E. church. Burial at North Bloomfield.
